Our Angle Our Angle

I both like and dislike The Green Book.

I like the interesting story of  a group of people trying to learn to live in an entirely different environment.

I dislike the  non-Christian view that the world will eventually self-destruct and that people will either escape to other planets or die. This could be very frightening and confusing to anyone.  Instead of having the comfort of knowing that, having trusted in Jesus, they will indeed be saved and enjoy a new heaven and a new earth on the day of his second coming, their ultimate destiny  is based entirely on whether or not they have a good genetic makeup, if they are clever, and if there is room on the spaceship.

I like the fact that this book is very well written.

I dislike the idea of forced suicide, should things appear not to be working out.

I like the curious minds and willing hands of the children. They do not complain and they enjoy life.

Finally, I dislike the completely godless humanistic tone of the book. Everything depends on man. There is no mention of God.

End Slavery

The best way to show your appreciation for this free service:

Free the slaves

For many years, our focus was on helping families train their own children. Our heart is still there, but this season of life has us focused on something old, yet new – slavery. More people are held as unwilling slaves today (27 million) than at any time in history, including over 200,000 in the U.S., mostly women and children.

If you appreciate the service BookAngles has provided over the years to you and others, then we invite you to show that appreciation with a donation to our work with International Teams.
