Author: Louisa May Alcott

Summary: Set in New England in the mid 1800's, this is the story of the lives of the four March sisters, Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy, and their wise and loving 'marmee' while their father is serving as a doctor in the Civil War. The second oldest daughter, Jo, serves as narrator. It is, in fact, very much like the story of the family life of the author herself. Used by Sonlight 8

Our Angle

The story is, overall, delightful and the family principled and loving. The author can be somewhat moralistic.That quibble aside, Little Women is an enjoyable and worthwhile read; a classic which has charmed generations of readers.
