Our Angle

This short (54pps), easy to read chapter book is a charmer. I like the warm family relationships, godly practices and Sarah's responsibility and courage. I also like the story's portrayal of friendly relationships and admirable qualities among this group of neighboring Indians (Native Americans), while recognizing the existence of tension with other groups. I might clue my child in, however, that there is a big difference between "Great Spirits."  The Courage of Sarah Noble is a well-written, satisfying read for younger children just starting to read chapter books.  It is also a pleasant read-aloud and a bit of a history lesson. Recommended.
